DELIVERY WITH AGILITY
There is a very good reason why, as an Agile consultancy, the Agilistix brand statement is “Delivery With Agility” and not something like, “Agility For Delivery” or “Agile Delivery”.
The first word of our brand statement is “Delivery” because enabling delivery of their commercial outcomes is the primary reason why our customers engage us.
Although they may not say so, most of our customers are not primarily motivated to be Agile. Why should they be? However, they are motivated to deliver better outcomes for their own customers, in return for greater commercial reward, profits. That’s business!
DELIVERY-FIRST MINDSET
Delivery of their commercial objectives is our customers’ North Star, or at least it should be. Agile or Business Agility is simply a vehicle to get them there.
Once the commercial objective has been validated, we train and coach organisations to adopt a Delivery-first mindset.
Only then is there a bona fide business reason for them to truly engage with the necessary organisational culture change that underpins the successful implementation of Agile ways of working.
At this point, we begin to train and coach them to adopt People-first Agile behaviours to build and nurture a People-first culture.
PEOPLE-FIRST CULTURE
The first word of the first Value of the Agile Manifesto is “Individuals”. Agile is all about people.
A Delivery-first mindset, underpinned by a leadership culture of People-first Agile behaviours, enables business agility.
It is the agility of the business that delivers the commercial objective, not Agile. People create that business agility as they thrive in a People-first organisational culture.
